Salon du Bateau
We will not be going to the Montreal boat show this year. 2009 will be the first year since 2001 that we have not had a kiosk at the annual winter show. We will miss seeing our many friends that visited our booth. We will certainly miss spending time with Jean Marc Lecoyer, Louise Chaput, and Richard Dionne for their help and good company that made the shows a real pleasure.
Old News
2006. We filled the "C" and "D" sections. We will ad 10 more slips to "D" for 2006. Thanks to all of our boaters.
2005. We opened the "C" section docks and almost filled them in the first year. We will ad 2 more docks to this section and reopen the "D" section just upstream for 2006.
2004 has been our most successful year. Converting our "B" section docks to a small boat section is off to a great start. The increase in new members has meant that we have almost reached our capacity for boats over 23' on our "A" section docks. This means that we will be going ahead with our plans to re-open the "C" section docks.
The "C" docks were once the most popular section at our marina. We have often been asked when this section will be open again.
Nestled in the trees in the extreme upstream section of our property, this section offers an unmatched scenic beauty and an unspoiled spot to dock your boat. It will have the same fine facilities as the "A" docks including a very large picnic area.
The Yacht Shop purchases hydraulic boat trailer
Scott at The Yacht Shop has purchase a hydraulic boat trailer that will allow him to service boats to 35'. He will be able to supply quicker service to more of our dock customers and allow bigger boats to store here for the winter.
CYC purchases forklift
This October we found a 3 ton, 4 wheel drive, all-terrain forklift for sale in Swanton. This machine allows us to remove our docks in the fall, put them in the river in the spring, do dozens of marina chores, and provides hours of enjoyment for two operator wantabes.
